In the who’s who of the boxing world we would like to proudly present our very own Mayweather versus McGregor of the animal kingdom. These two bulls were literally at it “neck and neck” but in the end, as we all know, there can only be one winner…
48-year-old, Walter Becker was the lucky guy to have caught this action on film. He tells Latestsightings.com all about the battle: “It was a blustery and overcast day and since we were not seeing much we decided to head out to Mlondozi dam.
On the way there, we came across 2 huge giraffes grazing nearby the road. I started to take some footage most likely out of the frustration of not seeing much that day. To myself and my parent’s amazement, another male giraffe entered the scene looking to stamp down his authority on the unsuspecting bystanders.
He immediately started a duel with another bull and I felt excited because I have only seen similar footage in a David Attenborough documentary. I thus knew that this sighting was unique.
This was one super awesome sighting”.
Male giraffes fight with their necks because it’s the most powerful and maneuverable weapon they have. Bulls fight to establish dominance or to win the right to mate with the females (cows) in a particular area. Necking in their world is the most violent and unpleasant experience they’re ever likely to engage in.
