When Stoats Mercilessly Attacked Their Prey

Although stoats, also known as ermines and weasels are small creatures, they are active and ambitious predators spanning a huge geographic range, including significant portions of North America, Europe, and Asia. If you want to see these little guys in action, making the most of every hunt, you’re at the right place, so let’s get started.

The man filming this video wandered across a stoat or an ermine in Montana after it killed a much larger cottontail rabbit. Who knew such a cute little animal could be so deadly, in fact, these predators are serious trouble for animals much bigger than they are?

After a hungry stoat kills a large rabbit, he must drag the dead rabbit through a tiny hole and into his den. The stoat pulls with all its might, and the rabbit’s carcass slowly slides into the hole. I think it was harder for the stoat to do this than it was to kill the rabbit.
